Ray Barber Principal
Ray Barber received his Arts and Law degrees from the University of Queensland. Recently, a GenX lawyer described Ray as one of the last of the general practitioners.
However, his special interests have wandered, over the years, from property to injury and now to probate and elder law.
Ray was a member of the Parliament of Queensland from 1989 to 1992 and is still active in politics. He was involved in achieving national park status for nearby Mount Coolum in 1990. His interests include taking the children snowboarding and surfing at Second Bay, Coolum.
Julian Porter Solicitor
Julian Porter joined Ray Barber Solicitor in 2022 after 15 years at Suncoast Community Legal Service where he was Managing Solicitor.
He has a broad knowledge of legal matters affecting everyday people and Elder Law and Succession is a particular area of interest for him. He lectures on the topic at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Julian enjoys getting out in nature in his down time, particularly on the mountain bike at Parklands Conservation Reserve.
